SPOTLIGHT - 2006 International Quartet Champions
SPOTLIGHT
organized in January 2001. Later that year the quartet
won the Region #2 quartet competition which enabled them
to compete in the International Quartet contest in Portland,
Oregon that fall. This resulted in a top ten finish automatically
securing entry in to the 2002 International Quartet contest
in Nashville, Tennessee. With a new team member on board
the quartet earned a Third Place Bronze Medal for their
performance in Nashville. Over the next two years the
quartet finished in Second Place and Fourth Place just
missing the Gold in Phoenix, AZ. In the fall of 2005 International
was to be held in New Orleans, Louisiana but with the
devastation of hurricane Katrina the convention was quickly
relocated to Detroit, MI. SPOTLIGHT was thrilled to reach
the height of the quartet's journey when they were announced
the 2006 Sweet Adeline International Quartet Champions.
The win was made even sweeter because of the location
of the contest which allowed for numerous family and friends
to be in attendance for the special occasion. To contact SPOTLIGHT e-mail them at spotlight_quartet@hotmail.com.

Nancy lives in Flint , where she is a Performance Coach for the Deaf. She is fluent in American Sign Language. Nancy is an accomplished Sweet Adeline. A member of Fenton Lakes Chorus for over 25 years, she is not only their Associate Director but also their Team Leader. She was the Director of River Castle Chorus and has been in many award winning quartets. Nancy is currently looking forward to retirement and spending time with the 2 cats that own her.
Our bass, Polly, lives in Taylor with her husband Jim. She is the mother of 3 handsome sons. Polly has been a Sweet Adeline for 19 years. She sings with Spirit of Detroit Chorus where she dances on the front row and attends to her duties on the Music Team. She is a certified piano instructor. An experienced singer, Polly has sung in several quartets, achieving highest honors in Region 2 with Prestige in 1997 and Final Cut in 2003.
Anna is a lady of many surprises. She and her husband, Jim, live in Southfield . She's a paramedic with the Detroit Fire Department attaining the rank of captain. It's hard to believe but this perky little blond is the mother of 3 and grandmother to 3. Anna sings with the Spirit of Detroit Chorus where she has enjoyed her 13 years as a Sweet Adeline. A woman of many talents, she plays several instruments and sings different parts. Anna changed voice parts to join our quartet. She was a BASS! How lucky we are to have her.
Rose resides in Fenton where she is a Certified Residential Appraiser. She is the VERY proud mother of 2 wonderful daughters. Rose is a dual member of Fenton Lakes Chorus and Spirit of Detroit Chorus. She brings musical expertise to her 12 years as a Sweet Adeline as Rose is an accomplished, classical pianist.
